Pre-Development Planning

Our team reviews potential sites for a facility and assists in determining which is optimal. We create detailed project budgets and schedules and provide critical guidance in navigating the master planning process. Our sports expertise is applied as we work to develop a specific program for each scope element, then oversee the development of the conceptual design to incorporate both the client’s program and their desired look and feel.

PSE works closely with our clients to bring the project architect on board and negotiate their contract. We take a hands-on approach to managing the design team and overseeing the evolution of the building’s design, which includes program development, architectural and consultant drawing reviews and negotiating additional service requests. Throughout the process, our goal is to design a sports facility within the client’s budget that both fulfills their programmatic goals and exceeds their aesthetic expectations.
Design Management
On behalf of our clients, PSE spearheads the competitive selection process for the general contractor, negotiates their contract and finalizes the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP). In managing the construction team, our unwavering attention to detail is applied, ensuring the facility is delivered on-budget and on time. Typical services include: budget management, schedule management, construction documentation review, change order negotiation and budget reconciliation.

Owners Representation
Bringing a design concept to reality requires a team with FF&E and OS&E procurement experience specifically for the sports venue industry. Using established supplier relationships, our purchasing system and a reporting structure tailored to a client’s unique needs, Prism Sports and Entertainment delivers projects on time and on budget.

As a part of our global sourcing process, Prism Sports and Entertainment reviews specifications makes recommendations and then obtains pricing to prepare a detailed and accurate final budget. With our extensive industry experience and longstanding partner relations, we can make recommendations relative to vendor selection and/or sourcing of custom products. Owners have seen savings as high as 15% of the overall FFE budget.

PSE offers expertise in the operations of sports complexes, club &travel team organizations and other sports properties. We help clients develop business strategies and operational plans that increase revenues and create efficiencies, positioning them for long-term success. Our first-hand knowledge coupled with stake holder feedback provides a valuable third-party perspective to accelerate improvement of any sports business.
Business Operations
To gain an in-depth understanding of a client’s organizational structure and behavior, Prism Sports and Entertainment interviews leadership and staff and analyzes performance reviews, exit interviews and survey responses from personnel and others. Based on our findings, we offer suggestions for improvement in regard to: departmental structure, management effectiveness, staff allocation, compensation and incentives, policies and procedures, outside resources, office environment and culture. PSE will develop a programming plan that maximizes revenues and places the venue in a strategic position that will allow for in-house events and strong relationships with rights holders/promoters. PSE has relationships with a majority of all the rights holders in the youth sports and has garnered these relationships with fair negotiations that are based off business relationships and growths not promises.
